At the end of each month, we highlight projects that have been particularly interesting or educative. This time we want to give prominence to prosthetic dental reconstructions, as we have worked on several translations related to this area.
Texts related to medicinal products are always exciting to work with, as such devices affect the lives of many people, in one way or another. Needless to say, this type of material requires particular care and accuracy when determining which terms and phrases to use in the target text.
Whenever possible, we recommend the client to have the translated material revised by an internal subject matter expert who can validate its correctness. This way, the translator contributes with their linguistic knowledge, whereas the SME has the final saying on the terminology. If proficiently set up, such validation process can lead to mutual exchange of expertise, beneficiary for both sides.
